1. Zero Telemetry Commitment

We built PCDefencer to respect your privacy. The Software operates locally on your machine and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, file metadata, or system hardware identifiers (telemetry).

2. License Activation Data

The only network interaction the Software performs is a single API call to verify your license key against the Gumroad licensing server. This transaction only involves the license key string itself. We do not track your IP address or associate the activation with any personally identifiable system profile.

3. Secure Local Storage

Your license key is saved securely on your local machine using the Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI). This encrypts the key to your specific Windows user account, meaning we have no access to it, and it cannot be extracted by third-party software.
